It is nice to know that we have these tycoons. It is better to know how they ot there. Henry Sy started of selling shoes in Carriedo in Quiapo. John Gokongwei started off trading grain in Eastern Visayas. Tony Tankaktiong started with a small ice cream and sandwich shop in Vito Cruz, I believe. George Ty got to start his bank by persistently going to the central bank for 3 years for him to get a license. I think many Filipinos can emulate their resolve and dedication to their business. We can also participate in their success by investing in their shares in the stock market. All these people have their companies listed and if we emulate their resolve, we can also make money trading their stocks in the market.
